Every bottle of wine has a story, and its storyteller comes in the form of intuitive winemakers. Chalk Hill Estates’ storied winemaker, Michael Bealulac, brings over 30 years of experience working with premier luxury wineries.

Courtney Foley

2nd Generation Vintner

Food and wine have always been a big part of Courtney's life. When she was just 12 years old her dad, Bill Foley, founded Foley Estates and then Lincourt Vineyards, a tribute to both her and her older sister, Lindsay. 

Alison Rodriguez

Winemaker, Silverado Vineyards

From the steep slopes of the Rheingau and Nahe valleys, to the alpine foothills of the Alto Adige and across Napa Valley, Alison Rodriguez honed her wine making skills in diverse growing regions around the world.

 

Alicia Sylvester

Winemaker, Banshee Wines

Raised on her family’s almond farm in California’s Central Valley, Alicia Sylvester’s strong work ethic and love of agriculture was cultivated at a young age. She fondly remembers spending time as a child on her family owned 20-acre Zinfandel vineyard.

Darrell Holbrook

Winemaker, Chalk Hill

Born and raised in Sonoma County, Darrell Holbrook spent his childhood among the vineyards. As Chalk Hill Estate Winemaker, he’s learned that patience, planning, site-specific viticulture, balance and consistency, and good people make great wine.

Greg Freeman

Winemaker, Chalone Vineyard

Native Texan Greg Freeman's expansive background combines long-standing interests in art and science with twenty years of winemaking. Greg joined Chalone Vineyard in 2021, bringing two decades of Monterey winemaking to bear as he writes the latest chapter in the winery’s storied history.

Sarah Quider

Vice President of Winemaking, Foley Family Wines

Sarah Quider is Vice President of Winemaking at Foley Family Wines, overseeing all production of this diverse and unique portfolio. Working closely with each winery’s winemaker, Sarah makes crucial decisions in order to assure the individual identity, style, and distinctive personality at each winery. 

Dan Spratling

Winemaker, Firestone Vineyard

After working as a winemaker in New Zealand and the Napa Valley, Dan came to Firestone with an excitement to bring his Brodeaux expertise to this incredible wine region in Santa Ynez Valley.

Christina Zapel

Winemaker, Foley Sonoma

With over thirteen years of winemaking experience, Christina brings a fresh perspective to traditional winemaking at Foley Sonoma. Passionate about creativity and innovation, she thrives on the opportunity each harvest brings to challenge herself with new techniques, gently guiding the fruit toward becoming the truest expression of varietal and terroir.

Dave Frazier

Winemaker, Foley Estates

With over 12 years of experience in the wine industry, Dave Frazier carries on the Foley Estates tradition of crafting approachable, fruit-driven wines from Sta. Rita Hills that are consistently high in quality.

Patrick Foley

Winemaker In Memoriam

William Patrick Foley III passed away Sunday evening, August 12, 2018 from natural causes. Patrick was a generous, fun-loving young man with a winning smile and infectious personality. Internally, Patrick was an intense, hard-working and dedicated Winemaker at Foley Johnson Winery in Rutherford, Napa Valley.

David Drake

Winemaker, Lancaster Estate

With his unique background in the Fine Arts, Lancaster Estate Winemaker David Drake never pictured himself working in the wine industry, but rather, happened upon it and has never looked back. He became hooked on Alexander Valley Cabs after experiencing the 1997 Estate Cab from Lancaster.
